With personal food allergy experience, both her own and her children’s, and over 16 years experience serving families, businesses and organizations, founder and president Shayne Fettig is known for her intuitive style and growth-oriented approach.
Shayne Fettig has personal and professional experience with food allergies. As a child, she had a severe allergy to walnuts, which resulted in several emergency room visits. She also had environmental allergies, which were difficult at times. Her two children, now elementary aged, have multiple food allergies to milk, egg, peanuts and tree nuts. Both children have been able to reintroduce wheat into their diets. Her son has a history of severe anaphylactic reactions.
A master’s level counselor by training, Shayne has professional experience in the areas of clinical and industrial psychology, specifically in executive assessment and leadership development, counseling and advocacy within school systems. She is the president and founder of Food Allergy Dynamics, LLC. She holds a bachelors degree in psychology, graduating cum laude with senior honors. She also holds a masters degree in Counseling from the University of North Dakota, where she graduated summa cum laude.
Shayne is qualified and certified to administer the assessment instruments FIRO-B and CPI. She is trained in conflict resolution and has experience with team building. She is a member of the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN). She is a board of directors for the Food Allergy Support Group of Minnesota (FASGMN). She volunteers at her children’s schools, applying her skills to co-facilitate a girl’s social event and being involved in various social and holiday school events. She has given presentations about food allergies to childcare providers and her children’s classrooms. She is also part of FASGMN’s speakers bureau.
